Abjad Numerology
The Yıldızname tradition

What do the letters of your name add up to?

Yıldızname is a centuries-old name tradition. It uses the classical abjad system, where every letter has a number, to read your name together with your mother's. Your reading covers 7 themes, from temperament to life path.

Frequently asked

Questions people ask

Why is my mother's name needed?
In the classical yıldızname and abjad tradition, the calculation uses the letters of your name together with your mother's name. That's why both are needed.
Who does the abjad calculation?
The calculation runs entirely in code: the number values of the letters are added up from fixed tables. The same name always gives the same number. The reading interprets those numbers; it never calculates or changes them.
I don't know my birth time. Is that a problem?
No. A yıldızname is built on the letters of your name. The birth time only adds detail to the sky part of the reading.
